France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, and more etc massive heat wave. In some parts of Italy and Spain there are red weather warnings.
This type of weather also made learning and having fun at school difficult. Kids were not allowed to play during their break or recess, and they had to stay indoors.
In many different places, like Germany, the newspaper, “Die Welt,” told people to stop using barbecue and save water because of the crazy heat. Paris, France also had their hottest day ever and even the Eiffel Tower had to close early! Even natural disasters are occurring due to these weather issues. For example, forest fires are turning into a major issue factor during this these time.
Not only that, but the temperatures are averaging about 93 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit or 37 to 43 degrees Celsius. The heat has also caused people to not live their normal lives. For example, people are taking ice cold showers. Most people will probably even sleep on their sofa or couch instead of sleeping on their bed in their room. Additionally, Europeans are not able to play outside and fun events are postponed like the annual Summer Fair.
Now, let’s check on the high temperature cites in France and Spain. Starting in Spain with Santander, where the weather Spain is cruising to 38.5 degrees Celsius! Even though that may seem like a very hot day, that’s not even close to what Bilbao, Spain went up to. This city climbed up to 42.5 Celsius! But However, France isn’t done yet with Paris hitting 39.6 degrees Celsius, La Rochelle with 41.3 degrees Celsius, and last but not least, Bordeaux, France with an unexpected 42 degrees Celsius!
Swimming, taking cold showers, turning the AC on, eating ice cream, and using an umbrella are all different ways you can stay cool in this astonishing weather. Although, some of these methods ways may not be effective in very hot temperatures like these.
