Entrekin Breaks 250-Mile Race Records
On May 6, 2026, a female runner named Rachel Entrekin smashed records in a 250 mile race called the Cocodona 250. Cocodona is a very hard ultra-marathon that requires the runner to go through difficult terrain such as deserts, mountains, and forests across the state of Arizona. beat the men’s division world record for this race by over an hour and the women’s division world record by seven hours, which she set in 2025. Rachel Entrekin also beat the overall record for Cocodona 250 by three hours.
In 2009, Rachel Entrekin started her racing career while still in college. Rachel Entrekin then started racing in half-marathons in 2010. She soon started to race in marathons in 2011 and ultra-marathons in 2013. On March 4, 2017 Rachel Entrekin got her first ever win in an ultra-marathon called Farmdaze 24. She slowly started getting better and better. Then, on May 6, 2024, she started her first Cocodona 250. On May 10, 2024, she won her first Cocodona 250.
She said, “I think I can do this, so why not?” in an interview on Washington Post She meant that she is able do it so why wait to do it, just do it. .
