Stop Taking Weight-Loss Drugs!
Although weight-loss drugs may seem convenient and effective to lose weight fast, they can cause numerous physical side effects and contribute to mental health issues.
On July 7th, 2026, Gallup Poll released results for a survey taken by more than 5000 adults across the country, which showed that the US obesity rate dropped from 39.9% in 2022 to 36.4% in 2024. The same study also showed that 15% of survey participants have taken a weight-loss drug at some point, and that 11% are currently taking one–that’s already 3% higher than the data collected from just 2 years ago in 2024! On top of that, Gallup Poll also stated that 19% of the people currently taking weight-loss medicine are using compound versions of the original, which are cheap, unhealthy, and non-FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved “copies” of earlier versions. Common brands include Ozempic, Wegovy, and Zepbound.
Side effects of diet medicine, specifically Ozempic, can be extremely risky. Although common effects like nausea, constipation, stomach pain, and fatigue aren’t usually dangerous, there’s still a chance for more serious results, including vision problems, swelling, dizziness, and even heart rate increase. Wegovy is also noted to have caused damage to the retina (tissue at the back of the eye), pancreas (organ used for digestion and blood sugar circulation), and kidney. While diet pills help people lose weigh fast, the disastrous costs of the many side effects far outweigh the benefits of quick weight loss.
Although some people may argue that these drugs are the only way for someone to lose a large amount of weight quickly and easily, there are still many other healthier and safer measures that can achieve similar results, including exercising and eating healthier. Take care of your health today and talk to a doctor–maybe there’s a better, custom path desgined specifically for your unique body!
