Down the Highway
She races down the highway
The wind blowing in her face
There’s no one in sight
As she rips through the lonely night
How she yearns to be at the finish line
How she longs for a sign
That she is near
That there is nothing to fear
But she is not there yet
She looks up ahead
And thinks she can see
A blurry silhouette
How desperately she wanted this
To put an end to this
But she couldn’t even begin to comprehend
How she was going to see this end
Soon she saw something
White and unmoving
Oh, after all this time
She was finally at the starting line
