My golf swing’s a sight, a total mess,
The ball goes left, in a great distress.
It hooks, it slices, it dodges the green,
The worst golf swing you’ve ever seen.
My clubs just stand there, in a state of shame,
A terrible golfer, by any name.
I joined a team, I thought it’d be fun,
But my cleats are untied and I can’t outrun.
The ball comes flying, a blur of white,
I close my eyes in a terrible fright.
I trip on the grass, I land with a thud,
My one true talent is rolling in mud.
The coach said run, and I said okay,
But my lungs gave out in a dramatic way.
My legs felt heavy, my vision got dim,
I took a quick nap by the basketball rim.
They say I’m a quitter, a total fake,
But I’m just an athlete who needs a break.
