Poet’s Work
The poet chose a theme
He chooses a daydream
He searches for ideas
And he finds it on Wikipedia
The poet thinks about the words
He uses the word “nerd”
The poet start the first draft
Set on a massive raft
Connecting phrases and words
He writes them on a board
The process is repeated
Until the poem is completed
The work is now finished
Of a nerdy boy on a canoe
The boy prayed and wished
For some Jell-O
The boy has been stranded for a while
With nothing but a pocket-sized sundial
The sundial turns out to be magical
With powers so mythical
He soon arrives at an archipelago
Where the villagers had a magic show
The show had a monkey
Who was juggling some peas
The boy used his brain
To trick the ringmaster to buy his sundial
The boy sold his sundial
And he got rich
He purchased a plane
And a nice train
He flew on the plane back home
Which is at Rome
When he lands
The dream ends
And he is at home
Playing with a comb
