Bob and Brian
“Cranes are cool,” said Bob as he pretended to be a builder, “they can lift heavy stuff.”
Brian, the older twin and an animal lover, had no interest in Bob’s construction toys; he liked his stuffed animals better.
Brian told Bob, “Stuffed animals are better than Cranes.”
“How?” Bob asked.
“Just let me tell you how great animals are.” Brian replied, “Animals are better because they are living things tha —”
“Blah blah blah” Bob interrupted, “That means animals can poop, and poop is smelly”
“Yeah, well,” Brian argued back, “construc”
Bob interrupted again as he walked out of the room,n “Blah Blah Blah, I don’t care.” Brian sighed, disappointed at his failed attempt to turn his brother into a animal addict
Then Brian’s dad, Henry, came into his room, “Hey Brian, I heard there is a new Zoo open, do you want to go see it?”
Brian loved zoos, so of course he said “Yay!”
Bob overheard them talking, so he asked, “Since the zoo is new, will there be construction stuff?”
Henry replied, “They probably have areas that are still in construction. Are you coming too?” Bob was obsessed with things you can find at a construction site, so he quickly accepted the offer. They got in their car and drove to the zoo.
At the zoo, Brian rushed to the elephants, and Bob sped to the construction area, where he was stopped by some workers. Bob was disappointed and walked back to Henry. Unfortunately, with both Brian and Bob running around, Henry couldn’t keep up with both of them. He also got lost while trying to find them.
Then, out of the corner of Bob’s eye, he spotted Brian looking at the tigers. He called out, “Brian, have you seen Dad”
Brian came over to Bob and said, “I thought he was with you.” They soon started searching for their dad. They searched everywhere, but they still couldn’t find him.
Then Bob had an idea, “Let‘s go onto the construction crane and see if we can see Dad from up there.” They told the construction workers the plan, and they were allowed to climb to the top. Bob and Brian searched for a long time. Bob was about to give up. But Brian spotted Henry frantically searching for them. They quickly went down the construction crane and went after their dad.
When they caught up to their dad, Henry told them that he had been searching everywhere for them. He then told Bob and Brian to never split up in a large and potentially dangerous place. After that, they went home.
Bob enjoyed that, and Brian liked Bob’s idea of getting on the construction crane to find their dad. Now Bob liked animals and Brian liked construction stuff, they are still different, but they are best friends because they found how to agree to disagree.
“Hey, look, it‘s a construction crane!” Brian said in the car.
Bob said while pointing outside, “That‘s cool, but, hey, look, it’s a bird crane!”
