Change Comes Fast
Leaves on the tree dance in the wind,
Sun peeks through snow white clouds.
Birds singing their joyous tunes,
Animals play with no care.
Then a gray filter is placed on the world,
Birds silent, everything is quiet.
Thunder booms and animals scatter,
Lightning strikes, panic ensues.
The sky cries cold tears,
Strong gusts howl like a wolf.
Branches threaten to break,
Everyone scrambles for shelter.
A chill floods the air, fear fills the soul,
All bliss is wiped clean, replaced by bleakness.
Everything is dark and blurred,
Leaves on the tree dance in the wind.
