How would you feel if you looked out your window into your backyard and saw the SoFi stadium? Well, Adrian Pitts, a homeowner near the stadium, has this exact problem. He isn’t exactly happy seeing the stadium. The SoFi stadium located in LA hosts multiple different events a year including concerts, tours, football games. But, more recently, it has been hosting the World Cup.

The World Cup is a soccer tournament hosted by FIFA every four years. It hosts the best worldwide soccer teams to play against each other for the title of national champion.

The stadium is located near several homes. One of which being Pitts’. Pitts feels uncomfortable because fans are able too see into his bathroom. An article from the New York Times written by Matt Stevens says, “By his own careful measurement, Pitts lives 14 feet from the Hollywood Park development’s property line, so close that he has become concerned about his privacy while bathing.” This shows how close he lives to it. This means anyone could look up and out from the stadium and see Pitts showering or getting ready for bed, which makes him uncomfortable.

Another issue about living near the stadium is the noise level. An article from the New York Times by Matt Steven says, “The booming daylong sound checks are often louder than the concerts themselves, he said. Because of the noise, he said, he cannot open his windows.”

Furthermore, people have to find parking to get to the event. The center doesn’t hold enough space for parking, leaving the people to park in outside the nearby residences. After they park there they have to walk over to the stadium, but many of them go through people’s yard. Pitt says, ” But I returned home before the game ended and, as sometimes happens, saw a group of young fans hop a property gate, seemingly in pursuit of an easier exit.” Pitts expresses his frustration as he as bought eight cameras to monitor fans late at night using his backyard to get to their cars after the event.
