The Great Flood Part 1

Once upon a time, it was raining hard, so school was cancelled. Rick ran to his friend Chase’s house and played video games for hours. They played until they decided to walk to a park. They found huge puddles and dared each other to jump in them. The next day, it was still raining hard, so school was cancelled again.”Yay, school is cancelled again!” said Chase. They both decided to walk in the neighborhood. They felt hungry so they went to their local Subway to eat.

Both of them ordered a huge sandwich mostly filled with meat and cheese. Rick ended up paying for both of them, which cost $10. They walked to the abandoned pool and were shocked, it was filled with rainwater. They both ran home to grab a towel, and swimming suit, and a giant beach umbrella. They played in the ice-cold water for half an hour, then got out and changed. They forgot to put their clothes under the umbrella, so they had soaking wet clothes. Water levels began to rise, so they each bought a life jacket, arm ring floaties, a ring float, a pair of swimming goggles, a pair of foot flippers, and 2 pool noodles. They wore all of it and soon enough, it started to flood. They quickly connected their ring floats, so they always stick together. They used the ring floaties as boats and the pool noodle as the paddle. It was fun at first floating around, but the water levels rose even higher and the wave currents grew stronger.

A week came by, but the world was still flooded so Rick and Chase grew ravenous. Chase went to find food; he found snacks and found two cans of Pepsi. He shared it with Rick and enjoyed it. Rick made a raft out of pool noodles and attached it under the 2-ring floaties so they will have a more stable transportation. With no way to move, Rick dived down to a store and found many boat paddles. He took 4 of the strongest ones and gave them to Chase, then he took all the pool noodles the store had and used them to expand their pool noodle raft. He also made the raft 3 layers thick so they can finally stand on the pool noodles. Rick and Chase used the extra pool noodle to turn the pool noodle raft into a pool noodle boat. The pool noodle boat was so big that they built 2 houses out of pool noodles on it. It even had the interior. “Should we make a wooden version of our boat?” asked Chase. “Yes!” replied Rick. Chase went to find many wooden planks while Rick protected the raft.

They used the tools Chase found to put the planks together. It took multiple weeks to finish it since they made it 10 times larger. They had a bed, a rug, and a couch made out of pool noodles. They moved in a grill and a stove so they can cook. They found a solar-powered boat engine and installed it on the back of the boat. One day, they realized it was hollow under the boat floor, so they installed a trapdoor and used the hollow space as a storage for food. The water suddenly lowered, and now you can finally see the roofs of buildings. Rick found an Amazon truck and found a few life straws. He gave one to his friend and tested it, it worked and now they don’t need to worry about water anymore. To be continued.
