Cats vs Dogs
Yowwwwwl! Woof! Hiss! The battleground rang with these noises as claws swiped and teeth gnashed. One particularly large Maine Coon tackled a Dachshund to the ground and bit him on the tail. Meanwhile, a Great Dane leapt over some tabbies and got into hand-to-hand combat with a Ragdoll. It was utter chaos!
It all started when some Border Collies kidnapped a calico cat mercenary. The Republic of the Cats sent a battalion of trained Norwegian Forest cats to retrieve the mercenary. They quickly defeated the Collies and reported back to the nearest outpost. The Dogs’ Union immediately retaliated by sending five towering Alaskan Malamutes to invade Outpost Felinis. They were very big and easily tossed aside most guard cats. At this, Outpost Felinis sent out for reinforcements. Approximately five minutes later, when the malamutes were combating some tabbies, an elite force of ten Ragdolls led by a Maine Coon arrived. They easily overwhelmed the Malamutes with their superior agility, and the five dogs were taken prisoner.
When the Dogs’ Union discovered this, they declared war on the Republic of the Cats. They sent ten more Malamutes and a whole legion of Huskies to take over the Outpost. This time, the cats weren’t so lucky. After an hour of combat, the Outpost General ordered the retreat, as there were too many dogs. The Dogs’ Union was ecstatic at this. They immediately sent retrieval teams to collect the resources at the outpost and raised their own flag over the cats’. However, the Republic of the Cats was far from giving up. The members of Outpost Felinis regrouped at Base Alpha and began strategizing. Eventually, they decided on superiority in numbers and metal claws. They immediately equipped all of the Catnip Force Alpha teams with titanium claw coatings and sent them to recapture the outpost. Catnip Force Alpha included Ragdolls, Maine Coons, Norwegian Forests, and a few elite tabby cats. When they arrived, they immediately engaged the dogs, marking the first (and surprisingly the last) battle of the War of the Furballs.
The battle erupted with yowls, hisses, barks, and growls. One cat scratched a dog’s nose, causing it to howl in pain. Meanwhile, a group of Ragdolls cornered a Golden Retriever and attacked it. With superior numbers, the cats were winning. Eventually, the Dogs’ Union surrendered to the Republic of the Cats. They simply could not keep up with the more advanced cats. The dogs left Outpost Felinis, dragging a few severely injured huskies behind, and a letter was sent saying that, as a reconciliation gift, five barrels of catnip were to be sent to the Republic of the Cats.
