Apple Raises the Prices on Their Merchandise Such as iPhones, iPads, and Computers

On Thursday, June 25, 2026, Apple increased the prices on some of their devices. This situation was going on worldwide which means this situation happened everywhere that had an Apple Store whether it was online or instore, Apple rose the prices on all their items. This situation did not sit with some people.

For example, MacBook Pros went from $1,600 to $1,999. A $400 increase! The iPad Pros increased by $200! Their price now is $1,999. These aren’t the only items they increased the price on. They also increased the prices on their new MacBook NEO, the iPad Air, and even the prices on their HomePod speakers and Vision Pro headset.

The reason for this increase is the chips inside of the devices. The company that makes the chips has started shipping less than usual which meant that the chips were getting more expensive. A spokesman for Apple declared on undefined, “We have never seen a component price increase this much, this quickly. We have now reached a point where we need to begin raising prices.” Overall, he meant that since there is a rapid increase of price for the small component that goes inside the devices, the component company has left Apple with no choice but to also raise the prices on some of their items.

The cost of the components is expected to rise even more, which most likely means, more increase in Apple technology prices.
