Former NFL quarterback Alex Smith praised his sweet, selfless, intelligent, hilarious, witty, fun-loving daughter’s strength and announced that she is recovering from brain surgery to remove a very rare malignant tumor.
On May 10th, Sloane, Alex Smith’s daughter, was rushed to the ER with stroke like symptoms. She had an MRI and the doctors quickly informed Smith that she had a large brain tumor and needed an emergency craniotomy. After the 10-hour procedure, the doctors were able to remove all of the tumor.
After the surgery, Sloane, had a stellar recovery. After weeks of waiting, they learned that Sloane’s tumor was very rare type. They are currently awaiting more tests to decide the best path for her to take.
