Mike was mad. He was angry at one person in particular: George. George had betrayed him and landed him in prison, and now Mike wanted revenge. He wanted to destroy George.
However, there was one problem: he was still stuck in prison. He had to get out, but how?
Mike observed his cell. It was a relatively small cell, with one door with a small window. He also had a toilet and a bed, but that was about it. Mike thought of ways he could escape.
Digging out with a spoon? No, that would take too much time and effort. Escaping through the toilet? No, that probably wouldn’t work. Brute force his way out? No, Mike wasn’t particularly strong or fast, as he spent most of his time playing video games.
Days and days went by. Days slowly turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months. Mike ended up memorizing the entire prison layout, but still had no escape plan. Every day, he would do the same things. The monotonous tasks were boring, and Mike wanted to get out even more. He also realized that his revenge plan was flawed. If he tried to kill George, he would probably land right back in prison, and there would probably be even more security. He decided that a better plan could be to steal George’s most prized possessions.
One entire year had gone by since Mike got put in prison, when he suddenly thought of an idea.
Just before dinner, Mike crawled under his bed and curled up, barely fitting entirely under the bed. The cement floor was extremely cold, but Mike had to endure it.
A few minutes later, a guard came to deliver dinner to Mike. The guard knocked twice, and shouted, “Food incoming!” The guard slid the food through the food slot. However, when Mike didn’t take the food, the guard was confused. He looked through the window and saw an empty cell. Now the guard was scared. He opened the cell door to make sure it was actually empty.
Mike had picked dinner instead of lunch or breakfast for a reason. The guard that always delivered dinner seemed shorter and skinnier than the others. He also looked like Mike.
Mike scrambled out from under the bed, accidentally banging his head, and launched himself at the guard. The guard was so surprised that he forgot to take out his taser, and Mike threw a punch to the side of his nose, breaking the guard’s nose and knocking him out. Mike had learned to do this in a YouTube video a couple years ago.
Mike quickly took the guards uniform and put it on. He walked out the cell and found the nearest alarm. He pulled it and started walking towards the exit. A few seconds later, guards started rushing in from both directions towards the open cell. They didn’t notice that the escapee was walking past.
Mike eventually found the exit of the prison. There was a prison guard at the exit, but Mike just waved at him, and the guard let him through. He was free!
Mike couldn’t believe that had worked. That usually only worked in books and movies, yet here he was. Then he remembered his goal from the start.
It was time for revenge.
