The night was dark, and the wind howled through the trees. Sarah was driving home from work, taking the shortcut through the forest. She needed to get to her three children fast as she had left them at school and her friend had picked them up. When she was driving, she remembered the stories about the old, abandoned mansion in the woods, but she never believed them. Suddenly, her car broke down and she was stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Sarah decided to walk to the nearest gas station, but as she walked, she saw the old mansion looming in the distance. She felt a chill run down her spine as she remembered the stories about the ghosts that haunted the place. But, it was getting late, and she needed shelter, so she decided to spend the night in the mansion.

As she entered, she felt a cold breeze brush past her. The place was dark and eerie, with cobwebs covering every corner. Her heart dropped as she saw many skeletons and blood all over the floor. She touched the blood. It smelled weird like tomatoes. Ketchup. Sarah tried to shake off her fear and found a room to sleep in. But as soon as she closed her eyes, she heard strange noises coming from the hallway.

She got up and followed the sound, only to find a ghostly figure floating towards her. It smiled mischievously at her.

Sarah screamed and ran back to her room, locking the door behind her. But the ghostly figure followed her, passing through the door as if it wasn’t there.

The creature followed her as she ran around the house screaming. The creature held up his arms and floated to her, but she saw something wrong with the ghost. It wasn’t as transparent as the ghosts she saw in movies. This ghost seemed opaque. She ran into a dead end and looked back. She saw the ghost approach her and hold up its arms. She ran to the side of the ghost and took off its cloak. It was a tablecloth. There, underneath the cloth, were her three children. She hustled them out and made them come with her to go get gas so they could go home.
