In March 2023, Cristiano Ronaldo set the record for the most capped men’s football player ever. He is the only male footballer who has played 200 internationals.

Before Ronaldo’s 200th game, which was against Iceland, he was awarded a Guinness World Records certificate marking his achievement.

“It’s the kind of moment you never expect, to reach 200 caps. For me it’s an unbelievable achievement,” said Ronaldo to UEFA.tv after the game.

Ronaldo started playing with the Portugal soccer team in 2003 team, where he scored his first goal for his country. Today, Ronaldo has been scoring and breaking records throughout the world.

He played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, some of the best football clubs of Europe. He also won the Champions League and Euro tournaments five times, which made him the first player to do so. In several different World Cups, he was the only player to score a goal and the first male to score 10 international hat-tricks.

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most loved soccer players throughout the world. Without him, Portugal would never get their recognition.
