Some people today may not be able to survive without any technology or the internet. We have become so addicted to our devices that we will be unhappy if they are taken away from us. Because of this, I don’t think we can ever survive without technology. That is why I know I can’t as well, because I don’t know what I can do without video games, YouTube, or any other type of online “fun.” This is because I have gotten so used to watching it and we can’t go back to the old standard arcade book reading life before technology. If I went a day without technology, I would probably go mad. I don’t think anybody could survive a week without technology. And if someone says what about a month? They are crazy. This is proven because when my parents take away my device for an hour, I just have to sit and read, and reading is boring and something that isn’t entertaining is not fun and it just makes me bored and sad. I feel like technology is now controlling our lives. I mean it is a good thing because we can do cool and new stuff that benefits society with it, but it makes children extremely addicted which is not that great. If I were to survive without technology, it would probably have to be winter for me to have a small chance because playing in the snow is way more fun than staring at a screen and shooting people in a video game. I would also need an entertaining book series that I would enjoy if I wanted to survive for a month and I would also need a cold drink because for some reason it makes me not bored for a little while. Also, if you’ve heard of eating while watching something, it would be reading while eating which keeps me calm and not bored especially if the book is good. In the end, I don’t think anyone can survive without technology. Everyone is so used to it to the point where I don’t think we can ever go back to the old ways. However, we can still sometimes not go mad without technology if we have something of equal “value” that doesn’t make us bored and makes us entertained and happy. So maybe we can live without technology, just not very long.

We Australians might be accustomed to sulphur-crested cockatoos squawking in our backyards, but have you heard of gang-gang cockatoos? Gang-gangs are an endangered type of cockatoo that predominately lives in parts of the eastern coast of Australia, and there are at least two living near a storm-water drain in the inner south of the ACT!
