I fall down to my knees and cry,

I lift my head up to the sky,

My one reliable ally,

I wasn’t ready to say goodbye.

The bright lights in his eyes,

Like summer flowers in July,

His energy, in infinite supply.

Always ready with a quick reply,

Outgoing and never shy,

Why did he have to die?

I look down at his headstone and sigh,
