My brother does not brush his teeth. Once he ate watermelon before bedtime and took a bath but after the bath he just went to bed. When someone tells him to brush his teeth, he whines so loud to the point that it makes everyone angry, so my parents have to let him go. It was my brother’s 5th time going to the dentist and when it was time for his turn the dentist said that he had tooth cavities but that didn’t convince him to pick up the brush because the cavities were small. Sometimes when dad says “Brush your teeth, you have cavities.” my brother replied by saying “ But they’re too little.” But finally one night the cavities grew and his teeth were hurting so much that my brother ran and started brushing his teeth one at a time. Now he brushes three times a day. The end!

Love & Gelato is a heartbreaking, yet healing book written by Jenna Evans Welch. The book was published in 2016 and is popular among tweens and teens. It is about Lina, a 16-year-old high school student who spends the summer in Tuscany, Italy after her mom passed away. She discovers that there’s so much more to Italy then she could’ve ever imagined as she follows the directions of a journal her mom left for her.

thick udon noodles swirl slightly in the pot. She portions out a generous chunk of the stew, making sure to pick out the sharp bony pieces. The smell of chili oil and tender beef fills the tiny apartment, wrapping
around her like a familiar embrace.
