Now, everyone’s heard about A.I. taking over the world and replacing all jobs. There have even been several movies about A.I. taking over the world. Ex-Machina invokes the fear that A.I. might start acting like humans, just to betray and backstab their owners in the end, while Transformers points out that when A.I. takes a form stronger than humans, they can be deadly and destructive. Even kid-friendly The Mitchells vs. the Machines suggests that A.I. can take over one day.
But, several studies prove that A.I. taking over won’t be very likely. In fact, sometimes, A.I. can’t even do math correctly. So, A.I. won’t be taking over, not in the near future anyways.
In this article, I would instead like to focus on some of the more positive aspects of A.I.
First, let’s explore the benefits of A.I.’s ability to scan and analyze research and evidence. Sometimes, when you search things up, you won’t get a direct yes or no answer.
That’s where A.I. comes in. Many browsers have A.I. that can generate direct answers to a specific question. For example, my dad, who is a software engineer, always uses A.I. to answer questions about coding and…well, whateber other stuff coders need help with.
This really saves a lot of time, especially when you’re busy and don’t have time to search through lots of links and websites to find an answer.
Another version of answering direct answers is generating essays or articles based on a simple prompt and searching through lots of different data to find evidence and research. Also, it can help generate story ideas or prompts for you to write when you can’t come up with anything.
A.I. can also assist you in many ways. It can help with cooking, crocheting, writing, and many other things, like getting you out of sticky situations by providing you with generated suggestions on what to do.
One of the best things about A.I. is that it’s a pro in everything: debate, vacation planning, scheduling, etc…
A.I. does have some drawbacks, like taking away jobs, but that doesn’t negate all the help that A.I. can give to help people with their jobs, and in so many different ways and forms!
To wrap it up, despite the fears that A.I. will take over one day, that is far from likely to happen. A.I. has many benefits: generating answers, essays, or prompts while also assisting you in many ways and getting you out of situations.
A.I. will definitely help humans more—possibly physically with the introduction of robots—in the future.
