Klaus the Lion

Once there was a lion named Klaus. Klaus had been abandoned as a baby. One day, doctors found him and took care of him. They were kind to him and soon released him. A few months later, Klaus was one year old. He met a female lion named Candace who was the same age as him. She invited him to join her father’s pride. They asked Candace’s father together, and he agreed to it. He had needed a successor for his pride. Candace’s father had adopted Klaus and would treat him like a son. Every day, Klaus and Candace would wake up early and roam the savanna.

Klaus woke up early and yawned. Everyone else was still asleep. He nudged Candace awake and waited.

“What do you want to do today?” Klaus asked Candace once she woke up.

“I don’t know,” Candace replied.

“I know!” Klaus shouted. “Let’s play hide and seek!”

So they both went to play hide and seek. Klaus decided to be the seeker. Candace ran behind a very tall rock. Klaus found her immediately.

“I keep on losing,” Candace groaned.

Soon, it was time for lunch. Candace and Klaus quickly rushed to Candace’s mother. They both sat in front of her and waited for food.

“What do we have to eat?” they both asked in perfect unison.

It was zebras. They both chewed on the zebras and devoured them quickly. They both soon fell asleep after eating the zebras.
