The UK Celebrates with Newly Made Stamps
The Royal Mail released a set of 10 new stamps with designs of the UK’s most iconic and beautiful waterfalls.
Among these photographs are waterfalls from England, Scotland, Wales, and Northen Ireland. They include Rogie Falls, Becky Falls, High Force, Pollnagollum Cave, Aysgarth Falls, Fairy Pools of Glen Brittle, and many more.
David Gold from the Royal Mail that the British Isles are full of beauty and that these stamps represent some of the UK’s most popular waterfalls. “They showcase the richness of our natural environment which has been shaped by water over thousands of years,” he said.
Many of these waterfalls, such as Pistyll Rhaeadr, are considered some of the most striking waterfalls on the planet. Pistyll Rhaeadr in particular is considered one of the seven wonders of the world.
Other waterfalls, like Aysgarth Falls, are great tourist spots, or even filming locations. For instance, it was at this particular fall that Robin Hood Prince of Thieves was filmed.
Waterfalls such as High Force are known for their height and the amount of water that falls down. Many waterfalls are over 21 meters high, and they pump high volumes of water into the pool below.
As for milder waterfalls, they attract tourists year round for their wildlife and natural beauty. Rogie Falls, for example, is known as a spectacular waterfalls that is great to watch salmon leaping from during autumn.
In conclusion, these stamps would be a great product to be sold and to celebrate with. Go buy some now!
