Now, countless people started to claimed that this is an act of hoarding and not donating. However, Elon Musk has worked hard for that money and also donates much a lot of his money.
Elon Musk started his business in 1995 by creating a company called ZIP2. After he was ousted as CEO, he created X.com in 1999. He left X.com and then created one of the most notable payment companies in the world, PayPal. After he was ousted again from in PayPal, he decided to create SpaceX in 2002, and it still remains one of the biggest space corporations to this day. Finally, his most successful and most well-off company is Tesla, the electric car company. Through many failures and many successes, he earned the money, so he well deserves it.
Elon Musk is not just successful; he also helps the world. Elon Musk created a company called Musk Foundations in 2002. Musk foundations is a non-profit charity that donates money to many places. For example, Musk Foundations donated money to many schools, the most well-known being his Musk’s school in Austin, Texas. The non-profit donated All the money that went to schools is around $137 million dollars to the school. He also gave $25 million dollars to other nonprofit organizations. Additionally, he also provided $4 million dollars to a big large college coding program called Hack Foundations. All in all, this shows that Musk is an ethical billionaire because he donates much of the money he earns.
Despite this, many people still argue saying he is not doing enough or he is credited for other people’s accomplishments. For example, during Covid in 2021, PayPal reached its economic peak, being worth with a valuation of $300 billion dollars. This accomplishment was widely credited to Elon Musk despite not owning the company. This led people to believe he took the credit from others. However, Elon Musk never took credit for PayPal’s success and he even recognized the company’s work it.
