In late June, Rescue workers were racing against time to save the people that were are impacted by the huge earthquakes that hit Venezuela with magnitudes that went over 7. These great destructive waves of earthquakes could still be felt even over 100 miles away.

There were thousands of human casualties. The majority of those ose who survived mostly lost their homes. Charity groups, like UNICEF, are donating money and resources to and are indeed are helping the public’s health. Many now are lacking proper health care. Many died even in the hospitals. The heatwaves are also making things the situation worse. People are dying of heat as they are waiting to be found in the debris.

Great buildings of brick and adobe fell to the ground. The destruction caused millions in damage created damage that was worth millions of dollars. People need money to rebuild their homes. These charities are often unable to provide enough money for the people and the government to rebuild what has been destroyed.

Of course, Venezuela is still able to respond to the damage carry this pressure because 24 different countries sent are sending over help in order to save the people and decrease the number of human casualties.

One of the biggest problems is that the earthquakes have not only destroyed houses, but they also destroyed nearby hospitals, causing many injured that were hurt to be unable to receive treatment quickly.

The United Nations aid agency UNICEF says 1.8 million people, including many children, now need emergency aid to survive.
