On the edge of a forest and surrounded by a small stream was a house. The house was only one of the many houses along the forest. A huge shady oak lies in the front yard and a couple of bushes grow around the tree. I lived in this house with my mother and father. Everyday, I would walk from around the estate to school and then play in the streams with my friends after class school. Though the forest looked quite interesting, I was never allowed to enter.

One day, I was walking home from school when I stopped by the stream to play. After a few minutes of skipping rocks with my friends, I went home. Once I opened my backpack to start my homework, I stood there astonished. All three of my math textbooks were gone and all that was left was a piece of paper with an incomprehensible text written on it. I hurried over to the library to request a magnifying glass. After examining the tiny paper, I was shocked to see that it was written addressed to me specifically. On the piece of paper, it said had my name and right under it said, “Meet in the forest tonight.”

Suddenly, my curiosity grew caught up to me resulting in a sudden urge to find out what was in there. At night, I just could not sleep thinking about the wonders or horrors in the forest. Without thinking, I slipped out of my pajamas and into my normal shirt and sweatpants and headed out in the dead of night. The only thing illuminating the path was the moon. I went deeper into the forest until I was stopped by some bushes that were too thick to walk through and too big to walk around.

I crawled through the underbrush to come to a surprising sight. No pink fluffy unicorns dancing on rainbows, but also no killer in a hockey mask with a chainsaw. What I saw was a killer in a hockey mask with a chainsaw riding a pink fluffy unicorn dancing on rainbows. I stood there looking but not sure whether to feel scared or happy. It was hilarious yet ominous at the same time. I rubbed my eyes twice, yet the figure still stood there. The killer spoke in a raspy voice, “Uhhhh, hi.” Then, he proceeded to fly away.

I headed home after the weird encounter. I shrugged it off and went to bed. In the next following five years, nothing like that had ever happened again. but it still did not bother me. I went on with my life like nothing ever happened, yet it still occasionally troubles me.
