I recently read a book called We Were Liars. I would give this book 3.5 stars out of 5 stars. I would give it this rating because some parts were written in a confusing way. Also, there is a TV show that I still need to watch that is based of the book. You can find it on Prime Video and there are eight episodes.
The book has themes of romance and family drama. The main character of the story Cadence SinClair and her three friends Gat, Johnny, and Mirren call themselves “The Liars.” The book is written well, but some parts can be confusing because you have to figure out what is happening by yourself. I also like it because the author (E. Lockhart) makes you think one thing but then it is the total opposite. I also like this book it always kept me guessing of what would happen next and then ending really surprised me.
I would recommend this book for someone who likes a bit of a mystery. I say this because there are many things you don’t know and have to figure out and there are many twists for anyone who likes drama.
