Europeans are Facing Serious Heat Problems

On June 24th 2026, countries in Europe are were facing serious weather conditions, which had affected the lives of their citizens.

The temperature of Paris had reached 41 degreesCelsius. This caused the Eiffel Tower to close early. Wild forest fires are also spreading in central France. Also, in Spain, recently reached the recent Tuesday temperature was 28.17 degrees Celsius which set a record as the highest temperature ever recorded in June. Temperatures in other places are also expected to rise over the weekend, including in Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium.

Also, these weather conditions are also making the lives of citizens, including workers and children, very hard. People had to take cold showers every night and sleep on the sofa to stay cool, while others were had been found swimming in the river and in fountains. One boy claimed that he is not allowed to go outside and play. Lastly, the kids’ summer fair was has been cancelled because of the heat.

Germany had even asked people to use water sparingly and not to use barbecues. One French politician, Jean Pierre Baron said that the nation is “in [the] process of finding out we’ve become a hot country and warn society may need to adapt.”
