On June 16th, the US and Iran finally declared a peace deal. Many people do not know if the agreement has been accepted yet, and many details of the deal remain unclear.
Because the war needed a significant amount of resources, it has been expensive and linked to inflation. For example, before the war, oil and gasoline used to be . But now, it has inflated to five dollars.
For four months, the US and Iran have been at war fighting each other. But However, in June, the two sides requested a peace deal offering. Of course, The results are not out yet, and the peace offering document deal is now referred to as the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). It was signed on June 15.
The MOU is not the actually final deal peace-maker. However, it was officially signed on June 19, in Geneva, Switzerland. The final edition of MOU will terminate fighting, unfreeze assets in Iran, and restrict all of Iran’s nuclear weapons.
The deal is supposed to keep the US and Iran from fighting, for at least 60 days, restrict Iran from too much nuclear power, and open The Strait of Hormuz. Opening the strait is important because around 20% of the world’s oil is there, but due to the conflict, ships cannot pass through the strait.
Iran later requested that all attacks from Israel directed at Lebanon must be stopped. The problem is that the people of Israel are upset about this part of the deal.
But for some reason, However, Iran has constantly rejected some rules in the treaty, specifically the ones that told them to not fight.
But Now that both sides get 60 days to negotiate. In general, the US and Iran have consider that the Iranian side has won the war. But Even so, the Iran still does not trust the US.
People in Iran have not completely trusted the US, and Because of this distrust, Iran has only partially signed the Memorandum of Understanding because the US wants to limit all of its nuclear programs.
