Should Robots Replace in Human Manual Tasks?

Imagine robots driving buses, carrying stuff, and doing other work in our daily life. Some people will think that it’s a really cool thing, but there could be bad impacts caused by using robots to do human work. In my opinion, robots cannot replace people to do manual tasks. Having robots replacing humans for those tasks can be inconvenient, costs too much, will cause people will to lose their jobs, and tasks won’t be done as wellgood.

undefined, robots are being used to do manual tasks. They carry stuff for people and they can work for two to three hours without resting. Although they can work for a long time, they still need to recharge several times a day. People ant Japan Airlines also planned to use robots to do other manual tasks.

One reason robots cannot replace people is that they are inconvenient. If something malfunctions while they are at work, they stop immediately and the robot will need a person to fix it. For example, if Think about a robot’s wire broke when working, the whole robot will stop and shut down. If a human did this work, they could continue by using normal tools to work. This shows that a human could work better and more consistently than a robot.

Also, using robots costs a lot of money way too much. You need to build numerous robots to work for you, and you also need to recharge them everyday. If a part of the robot breaks off or hasd a problem, you need to buy another one. This uses too much money compared to letting human workers to do the work. Even though you need to pay for the human workers everyday, it will still cost more to building and fixing robots. Having robots doing manual tasks can take up time and effort that is not necessary. Using robots to work can also lead to a decrease in people’s labor skills.

Another reason robots cannot replace human in manual tasks is that robots working can have a bad impact on people. Many manual workers get all their income by doing their jobs. If robots replace them, they will have no money and a large-scale unemployment will happen. Also, low-skilled workers will lose their jobs, and it’s time-consuming and expensive to train let them to do complex jobs. This will increase the gap between wealthy people and poor people even more. Using robots in manual tasks means that people stop doing those tasks. The hand control, special skills, and unique personal techniques will gradually disappear. Robots cannot copy people’s style of working. This makes people lose many hand skills and jobs.

Many people say that robots do jobs better than humans, but this is not true. Robots don’t have enough adaptability for some human work. Some manual work involves unpredictable situations, and only human knowledge could do it. One example is that warehouse workers know how to carry odd shaped, fragile stuff, and a robot may break it. This shows a human is more flexible than a robot. Another example is that farmers know how to distinguish a sick crop from a good crop. The sensor of a robot may get it wrong. Human’s senses are more accurate than a robot’s. People can deal with more complex solutions compared to a robot, so making robots do manual work isn’t a good idea.

In conclusion, we should leave the manual tasks to humans, not robots. Robots cost too much, are inconvenient, and aren’t flexible enough. Those are the reasons why I think robots can’t replace humans. You don’t want to see everyone learning how to fix a robot!
