Iranians Are Getting Internet Back After 88 Days Without It
After no internet for 88 days, Iranians are finally coming back online. Around May 25-26, it was announced that the internet in Iran was gradually restoring, and Iranians would be able to go online. The shut down began on February 28 after the war with the United States and Israel began.
Iranians have experienced no internet before, such as the time when internet was cut off for a week in November of 2019 or the time when internet was cut off for a couple of weeks in January of 2026 only for it to be cut off for 88 days after. These 88 days without internet in Iran are now the longest and most severe nationwide cutoff.
The undefined said that after the Iranians were in silence for weeks and months, hearing the sound of notifications was like a dream. They could have never wanted more than to hear the sound of notifications popping up and seeing the internet finally work.
