The Magical Forest

Once upon a time, there was a magical and haunted forest next to a little town called Roseman. There was even a rumor of a fairy godmother who could grant you one wish that would come true. Lots of people wanted a wish, but only one had the guts to do it. It was a young woman named Elizabeth Loraine. Though she never returned.

Next to the forest were hills in a grassy area, which made for a good picnic spot. And that makes the curiosity of many people, especially kids.

One day, there was a girl named Lucy who went on a picnic with her mother.
“Mom, this is the best picnic spot I’ve ever been to!” screamed Lucy.
“I know,” smiled her mom. “Now go play with the others while I set up our picnic!” said her mom.
Some kids were playing tag and flying kites. Then she saw her friends on the tallest hill.
“Uh, what are you guys doing staring at that forest covered in magic mist?” asked Lucy.
“We’re trying to get in there,” said one of the girls, Mia, Lucy’s best friend. She wore a purple shirt with a light blue skirt.
“Why would you try to go into that forest? Someone vanished in there,” said Lucy, looking worried.
“It’s just a rumor,” said one of the boys, Donald.
“Sneaking in there sounds fun too,” said Aiden.
“I’m in,” screams Lucy. “Although, where are your parents?” she asked.
“We sneaked out,” said Celine.
“Then let’s go,” yelled Mia.
The five of them raced down the hill, avoiding people and sneaked into the forest. It was surrounded by mist; you could barely see your hands. Then, suddenly, light appeared in front of them. There stood a woman floating in the air, looking at them calmly.
“A ghost!!” screamed Mia.

Then suddenly, everything started to fade away. Lucy woke up. She found out that the magical mist had made her unconscious and she started to dream.

“It was a weird dream “, she thought. Then she turned around and found all the others were still sleeping. She raced towards them but then froze, her eyes wide. They were all soaked in poison water and wrapped around by thorn plants. The plants were dragging them into what looks like a portal.
But then she found out something odd: none of them seemed to be hurt by the bubbling, poisonous water, or by the thorns, and Mia was missing. Then she noticed that Mia was standing next to Celine, trying to free her from the water.

“Mia, here!” yelled Lucy as she sprinted towards her. But then, like an earthquake, a woman rose from underground.

“Looks like you too passed the trial, now I grant you each one wish,” said the woman.
“Let them be free,” said them together.

“Smart one,” said the woman. And so they escaped and went back to their lives.
