Shadow Realm

During one cold night, Angela finished her shift at Yumi’s Mochi Shop at 9:00pm. It was late, and she needed to get to bed. So, she changed into her pajamas and went to brush her teeth. While brushing, her reflection in the mirror felt delayed. Suddenly, the mirror broke, and a hand reached out for her. Angela stepped back and tripped.

“AAHH!” Angela screamed as the hand took her to another world.

Angela landed on a soft carpet.
“Hello! Welcome to the Shadow Realm!” said a cheerful voice.
Angela turned around and saw a white rabbit that could stand. It looked like the rabbit from a book called Alice in Wonderland.
“My name is Willow,” the rabbit said.
“Umm… Hi?” Angela mumbled.
“Okay, so this house that we are in is haunted, and we need to get out. I’ll be your guide!” Willow exclaimed.
“Sure,” Angela said.

She was still in a daze. Shadow Realm? Haunted house? Talking bunny? None of it made sense.

“Alright! So the first room contains a prince who loves music. He plays the piano and has a dog. The dog is evil and put toys that make noise all over the floor. The prince does not want his music to be interrupted. If you do interrupt him, he will get super mad at you and chuck you down a slide, which will end your life. Get across the room to get closer to the exit,” explained Willow. “Now, lets go!”
“Sure,” Angela responded again. They pushed open the door and found the prince playing beautiful music. They made their way across the room. All was going well until Angela accidentally stepped on a rubber duck.
“Get in the closet!” whispered Willow.

Willow dragged Angela into the closet, and they  braced themselves for anything that might come at them. A crash and then nothing. Beautiful music started playing again.

“C’mon!” Willow said quietly.

They made their way across and found a sign that said: “Great Job! Just 3 more rooms to go.”

“3 more,” Angela groaned.

“It’s okay! The next room has cookies!” Willow exclaimed.
“Oh, that sounds fun!” Angela smiled.
They made their way across the hallway and were met with a door.
“Ready when you are,” Willow said.
“Ready!” Angela exclaimed.

They pushed open the door and took in the comforting aroma of fresh baked cookies. They ate a few and progressed.

After 2 more horrific rooms with a blind monster that chased you, and a teddy bear that was trying to unalive you with a knife, they finally made it to the end. The portal was right there, all Angela had to do was go through it.
“Wait…” Willow said while grinning.
“What?” Angela asked.
Willow transformed into a giant glitch of a monster. One of their hands was recognizable. It was the same hand that had dragged her into this dimension. Willow started laughing hysterically.
“D1d y0u r34lly th1nk 1 w0uld h3lp y0u?” said Willow.
“Y0u’r3 g0ing t0 b3 tr4pp3d h3r3 f0r3v3r, ju5t l1k3 m3,” Willow laughed, then tried to hit Angela.

Angela dodged, and she was scared, but she knew that she had an upper hand. When Angela got sucked into the Shadow Realm, she had been holding her toothbrush. But, a toothbrush doesn’t exist in this dimension. She pulled out the toothbrush that had magically transformed into a machine gun; its bristles were bullets. Angela shot Willow, and the portal opened. Angela could finally go back home.

The End.
