“Ding dong,” rang the doorbell.
I opened the door and saw a tiny package. On the package was a note: Happy Birthday Brian! My name isn’t Brian, and my birthday was 2 months ago. So I decided to return this package to the address on it. I looked up the address and went there.
When I arrived at the house, there was an old man outside waving at me. I returned the package to him, and he said, “I see you have found one of my magical surprises. You can keep the package, but don’t tell anyone that I gave it to you.” The old man seemed like he wouldn’t plant a bomb in the package, so I went home and opened it.
Inside was a tiny rock. I was disappointed that this was the mystery gift. But when I took it out and held it in my hands, a bright light emitted from the rock, and a diamond appeared on my carpet. I tapped the rock gently and a dimmer light emitted, and this time the diamond was tiny. I was excited and started punching the rock, thinking I would be a billionaire. I punched until I had bruises all over my hands, and an emerald the size of a small elephant appeared next to the diamonds.
I decided no more punching today and went to sleep. I could’t feel my hands anymore. When I looked at my arm to see what happened, my hand was completely gone! Fortunately, I couldn’t feel any pain, and the place where my hand connects with my wrist was sealed. I panicked and tried to bike to the old man’s house.
Going there was a struggle, but I glued my wrist to the handlebar and started riding. When I arrived, the old man was still where he was, and I rushed towards him and asked him how to get my hands back. He laughed like the world had no problems, and with a flick of his fingers, I got teleported back to my house with my arm fixed. He also took the magical rock.
I thought he must have been a wizard who pranked people for fun. I was unhappy until I saw he left me with my emerald and diamonds. I sold them and became the richest person in the world at 12 trillion net worth.
