I remember when you used to smile
like the sun in the sky
I remember when you used to sit
beside me on that very patch of grass
I remember when you used to walk
to me from behind and comfort me
I remember when you used to jump
happily at the news of a new trip
I remember when you used to run
faster that lightening across the sky
I remember when you used to draw
all of your drawings took me in making me feel entertained
I remember when you used to say
that you’ve got a new pet
and you danced around with a smile on your face
Why did you leave?
