Should Gaming be a sport?
Gaming on all your favorite devices or playing board games and solving puzzles have became popular since technology became really helpful. But the question is…should gaming be a sport? In my opinion, no. Here’s why. Gaming is different from sports because it involves technology. Gaming is its own thing and should have its own distinct domain. Yes, gaming can sometimes be competitive like sport games, speedruns, etc. However, at the same time, gaming involves technology, while sports doesn’t really involve tech. sports can use tech for cameras and songs, etc. But the primary focus of gaming is technology. Nothing about sports just technology. People should just have fun with it and not take it seriously. Let’s be honest. Mario games are mainly created for people to have fun, not speed-run. People should just see Nintendo, or ang game device, as a way to have fun with friends and family. Sports are meant to be completive and fun at the same time. Just enjoy games as there own thing. Just have fun with it and play as long as you want. It’s not about who can finish it the fastest, but who can have the most fun with it. but right now, it’s just its own thing that will be enjoyed for centuries to come. People will have their own opinions about this topic, but this is my own. Thus, I think gaming shouldn’t be a sport. – Clarissa Schroeder
