One sunny morning, Emma was walking to the park when she heard a soft whimper. She looked around and saw a small brown puppy hiding behind a bush. The puppy was shaking and looked scared.
“Hey there, little guy,” Emma said kindly. She knelt down and held out her hand. Slowly, the puppy came closer and licked her fingers.
Emma looked around. “Are you lost?” she asked the puppy. It had no collar or tag. Emma gently picked up the puppy and carried it home. She gave it water, food, and a warm blanket. The puppy wagged its tail and licked her face. Emma smiled. “I’ll help you find your home.”
The next day, Emma made posters with a picture of the puppy and her phone number. She hung them around the neighborhood and at the park.
Two days later, Emma got a phone call. A boy named Max had lost his puppy and saw her poster. “That’s my puppy, Coco!” he said.
Max came over with his mom, and the puppy jumped with joy when he saw them. Max gave Emma a big hug. “Thank you for taking care of Coco!” Emma felt happy. “I’m glad he’s found home again.” As Max and Coco walked away, Emma waved and smiled. It felt good to help other people!
