A dapper young cat named Sir Mango,
Leaps high with a swashbuckling tango,
He’ll pounce on your toes,
Strike dramatic repose,
Then, snores like a drum in a fandango.
Whiskers in moonlight,
Mango curls with quiet pride,
Dead fly here tonight.
Mango curls like warm sunlight,
ears folded like secret notes.
His eyes,
wide and watching,
see more than anyone ever could.
He moves like a whisper,
quiet, soft, and sure.
At night,
he purrs beside me,
a quiet heart
making the world feel
better
than ever before.
Shadow in the night,
Two glowing eyes in the dark,
A nightmare appears.
