The Fight For Food
Once upon a time, there lived two Kangaroos named Kangy and Rooroo. Kangy was the mother, and Rooroo was the baby. They named each other after their first word.
Rooroo was a clever little animal. He would use the materials he had to hunt for grasses and other plants. Kangy, on the other hand, would just wait for Rooroo to hunt, then gulp up the food, on the condition that Rooroo wouldn’t be allowed in her pouch if he didn’t feed her.
They did this routine for around 3 years, until one day Rooroo decided that he didn’t need Kangy’s pouch any more. So, he stopped hunting for Kangy. “Hey, give me food!” Kangy yelled furiously at Rooroo.
From that day on, Rooroo stopped hunting, and Kangy started moaning as loudly as she could. Suddenly, a charming lady appeared out of thin air. “You two kangaroos are very foolish. I’ll start with Kangy. You shouldn’t be depending on Rooroo for food! You should be independent!” she scolded. Just then, Rooroo mouthed “Na, Na Na, boo boo” to Kangy. “And Rooroo, you should be nice to her. From now on, Rooroo, please give lessons to Kangy on how to catch food. Kangy, no more eating Rooroo’s food,” she said solemnly to them. Then, she disappeared.
Rooroo grudgingly let Kangy collect food by herself. Then, she and Rooroo started to find food very independently. From that day on, Kangy and Rooroo lived happily ever after and never argued again.
