Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders receive 400% pay raise
Starting from 2025, the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders will receive a pay raise of about 400%.
Cheerleading is known for its low wages but hard work.
The low pay started to gain attention when, in 2018, a former cheerleader, Erica Wilkins, sued the team for unfair low pay. She said she earned as little as $7/hour. Despite working 40+ hours per week, she was paid less than the mascot without overtime. Her lawsuit was settled in 2019.
