Cheerleaders for Dallas Cowboys Receive 400 Percent Pay Raise
The cheerleaders for the Dallas Cowboys will receive a 400% raise in pay in the 2025 season.
In a career that doesn’t earn you that much money, it is a massive increase. Jade Mclean, a former cheerleader, said that it was a “drastic change”, which will give cheerleaders more financial security. The increase in pay is announced in Episode 7 of the 2nd season of the show. They have been working for better pay for over a year. In 2018, former cheerleader Erica Wilkins took the Dallas Cowboys team to court saying that she didn’t receive enough money. She claimed that she received $7 per hour, and $200 per game, less than Rowdy, their team’s mascot.
Ms. Mclean told the Times that in 2024, her 5th year with the squad, she received $15 per hour and $500 per game. After the money increases, the cheerleaders could be earning up to $75 per hour!
