One day, in a small village surrounded by tall mountains, there was a young girl named Lily. Lily was curious and loved exploring the woods near her home. The next day, he woke up bright and early. It was her birthday! She was turning 11. “Why don’t you go explore, dear?” asked her mom. “We’re still setting up your surprise!”
“Sure!” Lily replies. As she skipped through the forest, a sparkle caught her eye. She had found a sparkling key hidden beneath a bush! The key, encrusted in rare gems, was made of silver and shimmered in the light.
Lily picked it up and wondered what it might open. She looked around and noticed a large, old oak tree with a tiny door at the base. She had never ventured this far into the forest, so she wouldn’t have noticed it before. The door was covered in some plants and overhanging vines. The door was so small that Lily thought only a rabbit could fit through it. Curious, she used the key to unlock the door. Lily squashed herself into the door.
To her surprise, the door opened into a magical garden! The flowers were glowing in all the colors of the rainbow, and the air smelled like candy. Butterflies with wings made of gold fluttered around, and tiny fairies with glowing wings giggled as they flew by. Animals made out of gems and stones were lying, soaking in the rays of sunlight before they disappeared, Lily guessed.
In the middle of the garden was a crystal pond, and sitting by it was a talking rabbit named Oliver. He had a red vest and glasses that made him look very wise. He was old. Wrinkles were around his eyes. His fur had patches of quartz and rose quartz. “Welcome, Lily!” Oliver said. “You have found the Secret Garden of Dreams, Garden of Eternal Day, or The Garden of Crystals. Here, anything you wish for can come true.”
Lily’s eyes sparkled. “Can I wish for anything?” she asked.
Oliver nodded. “Yes, but only if your heart is kind and true.”
Lily thought for a moment, then smiled. “I wish for the happiness of my family and friends.”
The garden shimmered, and Lily felt a warm glow in her chest. It felt like the time Mama taught her how to swim. When Papa taught her how to make trinkets to sell. The time Elizibeth, her best friend gifted her a beautiful hair tie. “Your wish is granted,” said Oliver, eyes sparkling. “Now, you may visit this garden whenever you like, and it will always be a place of joy. Also, the way out is there.” Oliver sid, pointing at were she entered from.
From that day on, Lily visited the Secret Garden of Dreams whenever she needed a little magic, and her heart always stayed full of happiness.
