‘Woke up on the wrong side of the bed.’

One morning, 7-year-old Emily woke up in a bed, but not in her bedroom. It was pink, but her actual color was blue. That’s weird,” she thought. But when she went downstairs, it got even weirder! Instead of her parents, she saw two squirrels making her breakfast, calling “Emily dear, I made your favorite, scrambled eggs!” “What!” Replied Emily, “Who are you!? And my favorite is cereal!”

“Honey, you must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. Go see the school nurse, you are almost late,” her ‘dad’ said. Even though Emily was 99% sure she saw two squirrels, that 1% was still getting the better of her.

When she went to school, she saw a cave instead of the usual tall building she has seen for 3 years. And when she got to the school’s nurse’s office, it looked like a cage, “How odd,” she thought. But it was all explained when the nurse was a HEN! How are you Emily?” Asked the hen. Why is everything so weird? Emily thought to herself while sprinting out the nurse‘s office.

When she got to math class, the teacher was teaching how to say “Hi” in Spanish! When she got to English class, they were teaching art! By this point, Emily thought she had lost her mind, even her best friend Evelyn appeared to be a cat!

First, the lunch lady was a Golden Retriever. Secondly, the cafeteria served dog food! Just as she was about to break out, she heard “Ring ring ring!” “Ring ring ring!” Then she rolled out of bed in a now blue bedroom, turns out that was all a horrible nightmare!

Then she saw her actual human mom and dad preparing chocolate cereal, and when she walked to school, she finally saw her beloved school building. And luckily, the classes were teaching the right things at the right class, even Evelyn was her usual self, but a bonus was that today’s school lunch was pizza! ” Worst dream ever, but best day in life!” Emily thought.
