Ryan Kerrigan loves football but can’t play anymore. This was because his knee got injured, so he had to retire no matter how much he loved football. He kept on wondering whether he could continue playing football or not. “Even though I know it’s the right decision, ultimately it’s still not easy to know that I’m not going to play football anymore,” he said. “I kind of had that realization the other night……I’m not going to play football anymore. That’s kind of crazy.

Been doing it for so long. But I just know where I’m at, health-wise and whatnot, that this is the best thing for me moving forward.”

He has been thinking about this a lot; He went to many football games and watched people just play football. He eventually came back to Ashburn and was welcomed by many of his teammates and his coach. “He’s a guy that you could always count on,” his coach, Coach Ron Rivera, said. “He’s a guy that always could help set the example. I mean, you only get so many of those guys, and when you get them, they most certainly need to be celebrated.”

Many players also used to practice with Ryan Kerrigan and will never forget about it. Fortunately, he said that if his knee gets better, then he can get back to playing. However, it wasn’t a 100 percent chance his knee is getting back. “I love football too much,” he said. “I just love football too much to not be involved in it in any capacity.”
