Prince George celebrated his birthday last Friday in a photo released to the
public depicting the future king wearing a blue collared shirt and beaming
towards the camera.
It has become a family tradition of the Cambridges to celebrate their
children’s birthdays through the release of a portrait. The picture was taken
by the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, during a family vacation to a
beach in Norfolk.
Recently, the royal children have been in the public more often amid the
celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee which marks her 70 years
of rule. Most notably, Prince George sang along to “Sweet Caroline” during
the Party at the Palace.
He was also seen at Wimbledon, watching the Men’s Finals between Novak
Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios at Centre Court accompanied by the Duchess of
Cambridge, a royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club.
