Liverpool landed in Thailand on Sunday for their pre-season matches; they will play against Crystal Palace, one day after playing their Premier League rivals Manchester United. Some of their fans waited for more than six hours, and the ride to Thailand wasn’t even that long! It was only four hours. They arrived at 1:40 pm to the cheers of more than 1000 fans at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport even though the ride was delayed by forty minutes.

As the Liverpool team walked from the VIP room of the airplane to the team bus, fans 50 yards away probably didn’t even get a glimpse of the team. Other fans stood in the central reservation as they waved.

When they got to the press conference, a table and three chairs were set up for Jurgen Klopp, Jordan Henderson, and James Milner. The barrier was ignored by fans and officials tried to clear space for question asking in an orderly fashion, but they stood no chance by the fans, which is when Klopp asked for a comparison with Manchester. Klopp was presented with a ball as he said, “I have never been to a press conference like this. Thank you for the very warm welcome. This is only my second time in Thailand, the first was an hour to Sydney. Hopefully I get time to spend in the city this time.”

Next time this happens, after reading about this, maybe they will be prepared for what is going to happen, unlike the Manchester team.
