Novak Djokovic recently secured a great victory over Nick Kyrgios in the Wimbledon Championships to earn him his seventh title in the event. Moreover, it was Djokovic’s fourth consecutive Wimbledon win and his 21st Grand Slam Title.

Kyrgios won the first set 6-4, but Djokovic stormed to a comeback, winning the next three sets by breaking key serves and edging out vital tiebreaks.

Djokovic’s 2022 season has been turbulent. He was not permitted to play in the Australian Open due to vaccination problems. He also lost to Jiri Vesely in the quarterfinals Dubai Tennis Championships and lost in the second round to Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the Monte-Carlo Masters. Additionally, he withdrew from Indian Wells Masters, Miami Open, and the ATP Cup.

However, Djokovic also had wins; He won champion at the Italian Open and runner-up at the Serbia Open. Beating Kyrgios at Wimbledon is now the apex for Djokovic this year.

Unfortunately, this might be the final grand slam for Djokovic this year. The Wimbledon champion will have to skip the U.S. Open as the US is not allowing nonresidents to enter without a COVID vaccine. Djokovic is still persistently unvaccinated.
