Last Saturday, fifteen popular boxers gathered together to teach the world’s largest mass boxing class ever in the center of Mexico City. 14,299 students in total attended this class, and this event broke the Guinness World Record for the largest mass boxing class.

This mass class easily surpassed the previous record for the largest boxing class, which was set in Moscow in 2017 when approximately 3,000 people showed up to the class.

The instructors for this class were Erik “El Terrible” Morales, Andy Ruiz Jr., Oscar Valdez, Jackie Nava, Humberto “Chiquita” Gonzalez, Miguel Berchelt, Jose “Pipino” Cuevas, Alfonso Zamora, Jose Luis Bueno, Jose Antonio “Jaguar” Aguirre, Ganigan Lopez, Adrian “Confesor” Hernandez, Ana Maria Torres, and Alan David Picasso, and the class lasted for thirty minutes.

The rules for the class was that everyone had to participate actively, and no one could rest for more than twenty seconds at a time. The students also had to stay in their assigned place, and were prohibited from using their phones during class.

Photos from this event went viral on social media and showed the participants dressed in green, white, and red t-shirts that represented the main colors of the Mexican flag. The participants were being sorted into three equal groups (red, green, and white), and they formed a Mexican flag together during the class.

Later, Mexico City’s Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum posted a video on Twitter appreciating “the champions and those who made this great triumph possible.”
