This is as most of these act's have been against certain groups of people and end up making it so that the ones who have fled to the USA to secure freedom have to deal with discrimination and strife. This is especially controversial considering the fact that one of the main slogans of the nation was this "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free," written on the statue of liberty, a symbol of american freedom and rights.
