Estimated in December of 2022, the new movie of Matilda by Roald Dahl (famous for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) will be coming out! The trailer had come out already and it’s not the same has the previous Matilda movie that came out in 1996.
The actors below will be playing the following roles:
Alisha Weir (a 11-year-old) will be playing our main character, Matilda.
Matilda’s violent headmaster, Miss Trunchbull, will be played by Emma Thompson. She previously starred in Harry Potter, Dolittle, Beauty and the Beast and Missing Link.
Matilda’s sweet teacher, Miss Honey, will be played by Lashana Lynch.
The Wormwoods, Matilda’s wicked parents, will be played by Stephen Graham and Andrea Riseborough.
The story is about a smart-minded girl with terrible parents. When she goes to school, she figures out that her violent headmaster, Miss Trunchbull, is evil too. Then one day, Matilda finds out she can move things with her eyes! With the help of Miss Honey, they try to defeat the Trunch.
The movie might be pretty different from the previous movie and the book. But we’re waiting with excitement for the new movie to come out!
