In Paris, a 36-year-old man got a cake and disguised himself as an old lady to throw the cake at the Mona Lisa. But the man failed and was detained. When he did that, he was sent to a psychiatric unit. The reason why he tried to ruin the painting is that he wanted to draw people’s attention to the planet instead of a single painting. In his opinion, he wanted to spread a message about environmental concerns by removing the audience’s attention from the painting. He then shouted, “Think of the Earth! There are people who are destroying the Earth! Think about it. Artists tell you: think of the Earth. That’s why I did this.”

The man’s actions are bad because the Mona Lisa is an extremely famous painting and he tried to ruin it. The Mona Lisa painting took Leonardo da Vinci several years to create. Even though the man thought his actions were good, he was wrong to commit this crime. He should try a different method of spreading his message, instead of ruining a famous painting.

In my opinion, there should be more protection for famous paintings and other important items because these objects are important to the community and history. The Mona Lisa was not permanently ruined because there was a glass casing protecting it. However, if it had been permanently ruined, it would have been a great shame because history would have lost a very valuable artifact.

All the paintings and important items are valuable because they are very unique. If they are ruined, then they can’t be fixed because it is the one and only original version of that item. If the Mona Lisa had been permanently ruined by man, then DaVinci can’t fix it because he has been dead for centuries. This means when it is ruined it can’t be fixed or repainted. People must think about the consequences of their actions before they try to ruin important cultural objects like the Mona Lisa. When a painting is ruined or disappears, you can never have the original copy back.
